The Norfolk Timberyard Ltd supply softwood railway sleepers and hardwood railway sleepers, both treated and untreated according to customer requirements. Whether it is sawn, machined, moulded garden sleepers, rustic round edged railway sleepers and half length garden sleepers.
We can offer anything from one sleeper to full artic lorry loads!
For anything over a quarter of a lorry load we suggest having means to unload at the site delivery. Our fresh cut garden/landscaping railway sleepers include: New eco treated brown sleepers and new eco treated green softwood sleepers, untreated European oak sleepers, half oak sleepers (perfect to edge our decking platforms), untreated English larch railway sleepers also untreated chestnut railway sleepers.
We deliver nationwide with a hiab vehicle for all larger orders to save our clients from manual offloading.
OAK SLEEPERS
Oak sleepers are now in stock, for use in the garden to build raised beds or retainer walls for banks but also fantastic for other uses such as solid oak beams, or cut down as posts using our sawmill. As oak is a hardwood it is extremely durable and treatment is not essential.

CHESTNUT SLEEPERS
Chestnut sleepers are a favourite of ours, for use on external projects as chestnut can be much better than even that of oak in handling the outside elements. As Chestnut is also a hardwood it is extremely durable and treatment is not essential.

TREATED SLEEPERS
Brown treated sleepers are perfect for all exterior and
garden projects including raised beds, planters, retaining
walls or terracing, edging and many other uses, schools
being one of our largest clients for these sleepers
These ‘Brown treated’ sleepers are becoming even more
popular in garden design projects and also are considerably
lighter than that of hardwood sleepers.
